01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

A wide slice of beef is lightly seared over the wire grill, then swirled through an egg-yolk dip blended with grated yam before being eaten over hot rice. Known as the signature yakisuki at Yakiniku icocca, the dish balances melt-in-the-mouth tenderness with the rich sweetness of quality marbling. Staff sear the beef tableside, filling the air with toasted aromas that set the tone for the rest of the meal.

The meat selection highlights prime cuts and rare portions of Sendai beef alongside domestic Kuroge Wagyu. Samplers featuring lean shin-shin and kamenoko show off deep, concentrated red-meat flavor, while finely marbled tomo-sankaku introduces delicate fat. Fresh beef tongue sliced to order and thick-cut special harami skirt steak pair naturally with sun-dried sea salt, house-blended wasabi, or refreshing salt ponzu. For an even heartier pairing with rice, the thick sagari hanging tender steak arrives with a bubbling garlic-butter dipping sauce.

The side dishes display the same thoughtful touches. Icocca Fresh Kimchi arrives unfermented, retaining the crisp snap of fresh Chinese cabbage, and is generously topped tableside with freshly shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese for a salad-like profile with savory depth. Draft craft beers poured from dedicated taps and crisp sencha cocktails offer clean, refreshing counters to rich grilled meat.

To finish, the kitchen serves soothing Wagyu dashi chazuke and chilled cold noodles with a smooth, refreshing broth. Furnished with comfortable booth seating and private dining rooms, the relaxed dining space accommodates lively meals with friends as well as celebratory dinners.
